5. What is on the agenda? 

Another unique option to impress companies is to show their knowledge of current events in the introduction sentences. Search for the latest news about the company you are applying for and link the matter to the business opportunity. Explain why the news makes you think you’re the best for this.

Example: Recently, your company has come to the fore in The Huffington Post and Forbes because of your partnership with Charity Z. After reading these articles, I was inspired to find the opportunity to find a job in your company and I am very happy to see a position for the executive assistant. As someone with vast experience in this field, I think I am the perfect candidate for the job.
